BIOGRAPHY | EMMET GLASCOTT
Emmet Glascott was born in Waterford, Ireland on the 5th of December 1998. He is a self-taught guitarist, music producer and DJ. He attended school in Carrick-On-Suir, Co. Tipperary, Ireland and later studied Sound Engineering in Waterford.
Emmet started writing and producing music in 2018. He has an eclectic genre of musical style. Drawing influences from Ed Sheeran, Kygo, Calvin Harris, Ryan Tedder, Charlie Puth and James Bay. His debut single 'Take Me To Paradise' featuring Portuguese singer Sandra Bullet was launched on the 13th of July 2018. It features a strong ambient mix of tropical chill-out and club sounds. Within six weeks, this debut single had already achieved 30,000 streams on Spotify. 'Take Me To Paradise' won song of the day on Spain's Sound of a Wide World on August 24th 2018 beating established artists like Bastille and Marshmellow and Felix Jaehn. This song has acquired a place on the playlist of many radio stations in Ireland and abroad. Emmet's first song was released under his own label, 'Hawthorn Records', Hawthorn is the street name of where he spent most of his younger years. Emmet has a repertoire of over 100 song ideas which he is determined to bring to fruition. Emmet's second song entitled called 'Down For You', featuring singer Gillian Baci, was released in the fall of 2018. 'Down For You' has powerful drum beats and synth-sounds with contrasting acoustic guitar setting the rhythm.
Emmet is also a football fan. He is a shareholder in Real Oviedo Football Club. He likes running and playing football. He has also hosted several of his own radio shows for community radio and been DJ at select local venues.
